For over 27 years, I’ve proudly served as a K–6 teacher and union advocate. I’ve been a Chapter Chair for more than a decade, represented educators on the UTLA East Steering Committee, the House of Representatives, and as a NEA-RA delegate. Standing with unions and grassroots movements has shown me the power of listening, unity, and collective action. As educators, we understand what’s at stake—safe schools, defending democracy, securing fair contracts, and protecting our healthcare. These goals demand our shared commitment and solidarity to ensure that every educator and student thrives in a just and supportive public education system.
