A proud Valley East alum and LAUSD teacher for 20+ years, she returned to the community that raised her to fight for students and schools. Witnessing firsthand the harm of abusive administrators, Oralia didn’t back down—she stepped up. As Chapter Chair at Beachy Elem, Steering Committee and Bargaining Team member, and now Valley East Board Director, she has delivered wins: reinstating her school’s LSLC, rallying educators and community allies, and standing on strike lines proving our collective power. From reversing harmful school board decisions to protecting health benefits and defending our contract, Oralia fights every day for our dignity, rights, and future.
