My name is Guenevere Alapag-Spiller, a 27+years LAUSD elementary educator / National Board Certified Mentor, who believes in empowering educators through building and organizing the union, giving space to collective concerns and challenges, and advocating for our students’ learning environment and well-being. I have experience in organizing against co-location (2020), escalation and strikes (2019, 2023), Steering Committee Leader (since 2020) and as an active participant of the Bargaining Team (2022, 2025). We build power through strong coalitions and a slate of members and officers that see the vision and possibilities of a robust union, like the Educators Organizing for Power.
